Ashley Korman

Thank you for visiting my portfolio! My name is Ashley Korman and I am a Middle School Professional School Counselor in Prince William County Public Schools. I graduated from Penn State University with my Master's Degree in Counselor Education, and a concentration in Secondary School Counseling. I am a certified School Counselor in both Virginia and Pennsylvania, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor.

 

I have spent the past three years as a middle school counselor at both Benton Middle School and am currently at Ronald Reagan Middle School in Haymarket, VA. In 2016 I completed my year long internship at Mifflin County Junior High School in Lewistwon, PA and I have previously completed my semester practicum at Penn State's CEDAR Clinic.

 

I pride myself in my strong organizational skills, as well as my positivity, warmth and determined nature. Others choose to describe me as highly dependable, easy going, independent, dedicated, self motivated, and a great advocate for students.

 

As a school counselor my mission is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program to empower all students in order to enhance their academic, career, personal and social strengths and weaknesses. I hope to promote diversity, provide equitable opportunities and encourage resiliency in all of my future students. I also hope to help students achieve success so that they may become contributing citizens to our society.
